CAREERS

Careers

camo is a small startup. To share the landscape of sake with the world, we have been bringing delicious sake and its culture to people everywhere, with more care and more trust than anyone. New businesses started running in 2026, and we have entered a phase of full-scale growth. We are now looking for people to join us in the following three positions.

01

What we value at camo

  1. 1.Respect for regions and culture

Japanese sake is a living cultural asset with a history of around 2,000 years. Passing the spirit of sake on to the next generation and to the world is the mission of those of us living today. We are looking for people who can balance respect for regions, brewers and craftspeople with sound business judgment.

  2. 2.Health and sustainability first

As the business grows, working unreasonably long hours is not sustainable. We use AI to make desk work as efficient as possible and ask you to work in a way that leaves time to think. Please value your own health and time with your family above all.

  3. 3.Decide with numbers and logic

We value numbers and logic over gut feeling and precedent. Evidence behind every proposal, KPIs behind every decision, and steady progress on clear schedules. We create a place where everyone, inside or outside the company, can discuss things on an equal footing.

  4. 4.Make full use of AI

camo is a small, elite team. So that one person can do the work of three to five, we ask every employee to use tools such as Slack, Claude, Manus, Notion AI, Gemini, Figma, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms in their work. People who already use AI every day are very welcome.

  5. 5.Think for yourself

camo welcomes people who can think things through for themselves. It may sound obvious, but in an age when a search floods you with information and AI will answer anything, only people who can think for themselves can create value for society. We expect you to be an independent, self-reliant professional.

Before you apply

AI use is required. What level is expected?

For business development and marketing roles, we expect a level where more than half of your work is made more efficient with AI. We welcome people who have AI handle research, analysis, documents, email drafts and meeting notes every day, and who keep running a loop of improvement that frees up time to think. Because we value communication between people, we are looking for people who work while considering what machines do well and what only humans can do. Using AI well requires the ability to ask questions, build hypotheses, and read and understand what the AI produces.

Can I start on a contract basis and become a full-time employee later?

Yes. After three to six months on contract to confirm the fit on both sides, we may offer you full-time employment.

Can I work remotely?

Partly. However, business development involves visiting breweries and partners, marketing involves on-site work at events, and e-commerce involves shipping, so you will need to come to the office or work on site. The roles are not fully remote.

Can I take on side jobs or other work?

This is fine on a contract basis. Full-time employees may also be allowed with prior approval, but we do not permit work in a volume that interferes with your main job, or work that competes with ours.

Do I need experience in the alcoholic beverage industry?

No. We welcome fresh perspectives from outside the industry. An interest in sake and food culture is required.
